By Violet Sengjaroen
Fragrant sobs trickled and bled through concrete,
Bitter nights as this, fed greens: abundant.
For they damped those attire wet, quenching heat,
Which left sadness and distress once a sun.
Yet in dusks will you notice a fly’s light,
Or an owl’s morn and flittermouse’s breakfast
Or rather a serene drowse for the night.
Heavy fall does not prolong for epochs.
Soon after such, seas waved and rivers flowed,
As puddles of a toddler’s wet boots jump,
Laughter followed past a silver sob show,
And arcs of colours painted skies for once.
Even in the rainstorms of lightning threads,
The radiant rays always trailed after dreads.
