Meet Pedro Sousa (he/him)! He entered the University of São Paulo at 18 as a Pharmacy Major, but by the end of the first week at uni, he felt that Neuroscience had called him, so the following year, he switched to a Biomedical Sciences Major and started working with the Laboratory of Neural Control of Circulation team. As an undergraduate researcher in Neuroscience and Physiology, his main interest is the role that the hypothalamus plays in the control of blood pressure. Having twice been qualified to enter his department’s PhD program, Pedro intends to be a Professor and inspire students to be great like his Professors are now doing to him!
